2024 NCHSAA Softball State Championships


Anticipation is building as the 2024 NCHSAA Softball State Championships draw near, promising a series of unforgettable moments. This season has been filled with dramatic wins and challenging defeats, setting the stage for an intense showdown between Midway and Southwestern Randolph. Fans can look forward to a thrilling clash in Raleigh, where the top teams will vie for glory on the softball diamond.


Midway Raiders


Midway has enjoyed a remarkable season, posting an impressive 21-3 overall record and climbing to 13th place in North Carolina’s rankings. Their focus is now on the championship, and they're determined to go all the way.


Recent Game Overview


Midway absolutely swept Martin County for the first two games of the series. Fans watched in awe as Kiley Ives racked up 3 RBI's and 2 runs while only being at bat 3 times. Tamia Gwynn and Mollie Bass also contributed to Midways dominant win with 2 runs each. Eva McLamb, Kyleigh Stonerock, Sarah Autry, Peyton Herring, and Jordyn Christopher sealed the win with 1 run each. When the dust settled Midway ended up run rulling Martin County in the fifth inning. This crazy win in the first game of the series sent a message to Martin County telling them they were in for a fight.



Southwestern Randolph


Southwestern Randolph has had an exceptional season, achieving a strong 21-7 overall record and rising to 9th place in North Carolina’s rankings. With their eyes set on the championship, they are looking for blood.



Recent Game Overview


Southwestern Randolph kept it close in both games against North Stanley, narrowly winning the first one 2-1 and sealing their ticket to the state championships with a 2-0 victory in the second. Players like Madelyn Smith, Lillian Payne, and Hayleigh Thompson played with all their heart to take the cougars all they way. Payne scored a total of 2 runs in both games while Smith, and Thompson both ended up with 1.




2A State Championships


Game 1 of the series will be played Friday night at UNCG where both teams will look to take home some shiny new state championship rings.
