On Friday, it was a hard-fought game, but the Marvin Ridge Mavericks had to settle for a 4-3 loss against the Myers Park Mustangs. Marvin Ridge has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

For Myers Park's part, William Greenway (Sr) tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and only 1 hit while striking out 8 over 5.1 innings pitched. Greenway has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than 5 strikeouts in 3 consecutive pitching appearances.
