Asheville Keeps The Momentum Going

Asheville (18-3-2) was looking for blood on Monday. They beat the Charlotte Catholic Cougars (18-5-2) by a goal, winning 2-1. Winning may never get old, but Asheville sure is getting used to it with their 7th victory in a row.
Senior Ashley Armstrong and junior Sadie Hambright scored both of Asheville's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 16 goals. Another senior who has made a hug impact this season is Lily Foo, she totaled 22 goals, and 10 assist while averaging 1 goal and 1 assist per game.
Peyton Case who is only a sophomore, has proved her worth on the field this season. She has piled up an impressive average of 1 goal per game, 1 assist per game, a total of 20 goals, and 10 assist.
Asheville's win was their 7th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-3-2. As for Charlotte Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 18-5-2. Sadly, Asheville fell just short agains't the Mooresville Blue Devils in their next matchup when the final score read 2-1.
