65th Consecutive Win

The Central Cabarrus Vikings secured their second consecutive 3A State Championship by defeating Seventy First with a commanding final score of 90-62.

Desmond Kent Jr., committed to Lees-McRae, played a pivotal role in the victory with an impressive display of skills, contributing 20 points in the first half to help Central Cabarrus establish a substantial lead early on. Kent's outstanding performance earned him the title of MVP of the 3A state Championship game, as he continued to shine with 20 points, nine rebounds, and two blocks in the decisive win over Seventy-First, solidifying his deserving of the MVP recognition.

Joshua Dalton was honored as the Most Outstanding Player for his contribution of 22 points in the triumph over Seventy-First. Chase Daniel added 14 points, five rebounds, and five steals, while Carson Daniel contributed 13 points and seven assists, further bolstering Central Cabarrus's victory.

With an incredible 65-game winning streak, the Central Cabarrus Vikings had an exceptional season, culminating in another well-deserved state championship title.
