Clinton Finds Playoff Glory

With a crucial playoff game on the line, Clinton (17-10) stepped up on Thursday, securing a tight 1-0 victory over the Roanoke Rapids Yellowjackets (16-3-1). This win marks Clinton's fourth consecutive victory.

The single goal of the game was scored by senior Ava Williford, bringing her season average to 1 goal per game. With this being Williford's last season she had to make the most of it, and she did just that. She earned a total of 29 assist and 22 goals to help her team have a strong playoff run.

Another talented senior to look out for is Sophia Jackson. She also popped off this season averaging 1.4 goals per game, a total of 37 goals, 1 assist per game, and a total of 11 assist

Clinton has been on a strong run, winning 14 of their last 18 games and improving their season record to 17-10. On the other side, Roanoke Rapids saw their impressive 12-game home winning streak come to an end, resulting in a season record of 16-3-1.
