Jordan Dry and Chloe Shank's long balls broke a 1-all tie, propelling East Rowan to a 3-1 advantage. This lead, fortified by the stellar performance of freshman pitcher Madi Tigert, proved crucial as West Rowan narrowed the gap to 3-2 in the fifth inning.

However, East Rowan secured breathing room in the bottom of the sixth with a pivotal play. With the bases loaded and one out, West's Emma Clarke made a strong defensive play at home, but a subsequent throw to first base went awry, allowing East to score two runs. Kori Miller's clutch single further extended the lead to 6-2, sealing East Rowan's path to the Final Four in 3A.

With this impressive victory, the Mustangs, boasting a 22-3 record, are set to host Rockingham County (19-5) in the third round on Monday at 6:00 PM.
