In a commanding display of their offensive prowess, the Jordan Falcons (18-3), reigning atop the DC 6 4A conference rankings, soared to a resounding 12-2 victory over Hillside in their recent rematch.


The Falcons showcased a formidable lineup, with standout performances fueling their dominant win. Sophomore Peyton Kozink showcased his hitting prowess, going 2-for-3 at the plate while contributing a run and 2 crucial RBIs. Senior Sean Blackwell also made his mark, delivering a 2-for-3 performance with 3 runs scored. Not to be outdone, Logan Lowe (Sr) added to the offensive onslaught, going 1-for-3 with 3 RBIs and a triple that helped secure the Falcons' triumph.



Brendan Layne's dynamic play on the diamond was a highlight, scoring three runs and swiping two bases while reaching base in three of his four plate appearances.


On the pitching front, Cody Hughes delivered a stellar performance, holding Hillside to just 1 earned run over 3 innings of work while tallying 4 strikeouts.


Looking ahead, the Falcons are primed for a showdown with Clayton (11-11) in the opening round of the 2024 NCHSAA 4A baseball playoffs, setting the stage for more electrifying baseball action.


In the spotlight for the Comets, Dominic Pegues has been a standout performer, showcasing his skills in a recent matchup against South Garner. Despite the team's setback, Pegues delivered an impressive performance, going 3-for-4 at the plate with a triple, two crucial RBIs, and a double, demonstrating his offensive prowess.


Another key player for the Comets this season has been Redick Kent, who has been a force to be reckoned with at the plate. Kent has launched an impressive 3 home runs over the outfield fence this year, boasting a formidable slugging percentage of .643.
