Braxton Tramel Get's The Job Done

In the second round of the 3A NCHSAA playoffs, Foard (19-5) continued their postseason success on Friday against Enka (14-11), narrowly defeating the Jets 3-2. This victory marked back-to-back wins for Foard giving them a confidence boost that was well needed.


Senior standout Braxton Tramel delivered an outstanding performance, going 2-for-3 with a home run, 2 runs, and a double, while senior Jordan Brannock also made a significant impact, going 1-for-2 with a home run. Tramel has been nothing short of exceptional this season, racking up some impressive stats like a batting average of .403, a fielding percentage of .920, and an on base percentage of .220



With this win, Foard improved their record to 19-5, securing their seventh consecutive victory at home. On the other hand, Enka's defeat put an end to their 5 game streak of away wins, bringing their record to 14-11.



Next up, Foard will hit the road to face North Davidson at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams boast strong defensive records, with North Davidson and Foard allowing an average of 2.8 runs per game each, setting the stage for a closely contested matchup. As for Enka, their season is unfortunately over.
