Case Gibbs Put's on a Show
Metrolina Christian Academy (24-1) continued their winning streak on Tuesday, securing their third consecutive victory this season. They dominated the Concord Academy Eagles (13-7), clinching a commanding 17-2 win.
Junior Case Gibbs showcased his pitching skill, striking out 6 batters over 2 innings while not allowing any earned runs, hits, or walks. Gibbs has been consistently impressive, recording no less than 5 strikeouts in his last 5 pitching appearances. Gibbs has been a dominant force this season, averaging a .800 fielding percentage.
At the plate, senior Will Brooks stood out, scoring 2 runs and stealing a base with a perfect 3-for-3 performance. Perry Hargett also made significant contributions, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.
Despite the loss, Noah Hatley shone for the Concord Academy Eagles, going 1-for-2 with a home run.
The victory improved Metrolina Christian Academy's record to an impressive 24-1, while Concord Academy's struggles continued, with three losses in their last four matches, bringing their record to 13-7 for the season.
As of now, neither Metrolina Christian Academy nor Concord Academy have any future games scheduled.
