The Panthers claimed a 6-1 victory over the Colts on Monday, showcasing their determination to even the score after their loss earlier in the season.

Jailyn Thomas was a standout performer both on the mound and at the plate. In seven innings of pitching, she allowed just one earned run on four hits. Thomas has been reliable on the mound, consistently pitching for at least five innings in her last six appearances. She also made an impact with the bat, hitting a home run and driving in two runs while going 1-for-4.

Sarah Belk contributed significantly to the Panthers' offense, scoring two runs and going 3-for-4. Reagan Loving also had a strong showing, scoring a run and going 2-for-3.

Piedmont has been on a winning streak, prevailing in six of their last seven games and boosting their season record to 8-2. Meanwhile, West Stanly has suffered back-to-back losses, dropping their record to 8-2.

Piedmont will host Anson at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, looking to maintain their winning momentum. West Stanly will hit the road to face Central Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, where they will rely on their strong pitching to challenge the opposing hitters.
