If you made the list, you are in the top 3% of NC

This week, we turn our attention to the regional leaders in batting average across Western NC, Charlotte, Greensboro, Raleigh, and Eastern NC. With over 600 schools in the state, making this list puts you in the top 3%.

Leading the pack is John Crump from South Stanly (7-1) with an impressive batting average of 696 in 30 plate appearances. In their recent victory over Mount Pleasant, Crump helped the Rowdy Rebel Bulls to an 11-4 win, going 1 for 2 with a .500 batting average. Next up, they will face off against North Stanly (10-1).

Coming in at second place is Jaxon Ehret from Christ the King (7-2) with a batting average of 615 in 35 plate appearances. In their recent win against Mountain Island Charter, Ehret went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two doubles, and a run scored. Keep an eye on him in the upcoming game against Community School of Davidson (4-3).

Rounding out the top three is Meridan Leffew from Gaston Christian, boasting a batting average of 615 in 32 plate appearances. Despite being only a sophomore, Leffew is already making a significant impact on the team. In their recent game against Concord Academy, he scored two runs, stole a base, and went 2-for-3 at the plate. Stay tuned to see him in action against Southlake Christian Academy.
