Richmond Looks to Capture Another Regional Title

McNair Sets up Success

Senior shooting guard David McNair ignited the Richmond Raider basketball team with his impressive seven-point scoring streak late in the first half, ultimately leading to a 75-57 victory over Green Level High School in the 4A West Regional championship. 

The Raiders, under the guidance of head coach Donald Pettigrew, are bound for the NCHSAA 4A East regional championship after an outstanding performance.

Richmonds Chemistry Peaked

Seniors Paul McNeil Jr. and Javian Drake continued their offensive domination, with McNeil Jr. contributing 24 points while showcasing his versatility on the court. Despite early foul trouble, McNeil Jr. displayed his skill with 4 three-pointers, 9 rebounds, 6 assists, and 2 blocks. Drake also shined, exploding for 20 points in the second half, complemented by strong shooting and solid contributions across the board.

As Richmond (25-5) gears up to face New Hanover High School in the regional championship game, the team is set to showcase their talent and determination on the court. Tip-off is scheduled for approximately 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 14th, marking a crucial moment for Richmond as they seek to capture another regional title.
