Sofia Viana Pops Off

Achieving playoff success after a strong regular season can be a tough challenge, but Seaforth (22-1-1) has done nothing but excel in just that. On Monday, their stellar defense led to a decisive 7-0 shutout against the East Duplin Panthers (17-6-2). This dominant performance was par for the course for Seaforth, who have now secured 21 wins by 3 goals or more this season.

Seaforth's attack was relentless, with goals coming from sophomore Sofia Viana, sophomore Regan Willauer, junior Emma O'Rourke, and junior Caitlin Erman. Viana has been on fire this season, while only being a sophomore she has managed to show a type of leadership that Seaforth has been looking for. She's worked her way in to average 2.7 goals per game, 1.9 assist, and 5.1 steals.

The victory extended Seaforth's winning streak to 15 games, bringing their season record to 22-1

For East Duplin, the loss ended a three-game away winning streak and left them with a record of 17-6-2.

Next, Seaforth will travel to face Franklin Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Known for their prolific scoring, Seaforth will look to continue their offensive prowess in what promises to be an exciting matchup. East Duplin, on the other hand, has concluded their season and will not have any more games scheduled.
