Victory over South Meck

In the recent battle against the South Meck Sabres, the Vikings were boosted by a standout performance from junior Chadlyn Traylor in their 79-61 win over South Mecklenburg in the second round of the NCHSAA 4A Western Regional playoffs on Friday night. Standing at 6-foot-7, Evans led the team with a game-high 35 points, including five 3-pointers and some impressive dunks. This victory marked North Mecklenburg's 13th consecutive win and their sixth consecutive victory over the Sabres since the 2008-2009 season.

Additionally, Traylor, a 6-3 junior guard, had a season-best performance with 25 points, helping to fill the void left by the absence of injured senior Trey Maxwell III, who is the team's second-leading scorer averaging nearly 20 points per game this season. With this win, North Mecklenburg advances to face Mount Tabor (24-5) in their next playoff game as they continue their journey towards the 2024 NCHSAA Championship Title.
