Watauga Women's Basketball Winning Streak

Tiffany Walston

5th Consecutive Win

Mallard Creek had a strong start with a 10-2 lead, but Watauga fought back to take a 26-21 halftime lead, thanks to guard Kate Sears' 19 points in the first half. In the third quarter, Mallard Creek briefly took the lead, but Watauga regained control and started hitting 3-pointers, extending their lead to 23 points.

Mallard Creek struggled to break through Watauga's 2-3 zone defense, despite their high-scoring average of 75 points per game. This loss ended Mallard Creek's 18-game winning streak.

Watauga, on the other hand, secured their fifth consecutive win and advanced to the quarterfinal round, where they will host Myers Park on Friday.

With the impressive performance of Kate Sears and their strong 3-point shooting, Watauga looks to continue their winning streak in the upcoming game.
