Aj Mackey Knows How To Put On A Show

Mitchell (7-11), who is currently 5th in the Western Highlands Confrence, and 432nd in the state, continued their winning streak on Tuesday, securing their 3rd consecutive victory by defeating the Rosman (1-16) Tigers with a close score of 13-11 . It's the second consecutive game that Mitchell has won by exactly 2 runs.



Freshman star AJ Mackey played a crucial role both on the mound and at the plate. He pitched 4 innings, not allowing a single earned run. Additionally, Mackey contributed offensively, going 1-for-4 with 2 RBI and a double. Mackey currently has a .400 batting average, a .471 on base percentage, .863 fielding percentage, 4 home runs, and 17 RBI's.


Another freshman that is making their name known is Noah Vines. He was also instrumental in Mitchell's victory, scoring 2 runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. Mitchell is full of talented freshman, another being Owen Riddle. He added another run and stole a base, going 1-for-3.



The win improved Mitchell's record to 7-11, while Rosman's losing streak extended to 4 games, leaving them at 1-16 for the season.


Mitchell will play Rosman again, this time on the road at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Rosman will host Cherokee at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
