No one Can Mess With Kelsey Madden
West Wilkes (13-0) secured their 10th blowout victory of the season on Friday, dominating the Surry Central (4-8) Golden Eagles with a commanding 19-2 win. The Blackhawks have yet to suffer a defeat this season.
Leading West Wilkes is sophomore standout Kelsey Madden with a batting average of 0.667, a 0.750 on base percentage, and a 1.666 slugging percentage. Her Field presence is something no one can miss with a total of 27 RBI's, and 8 home runs. Sophomore Leah Green has also been a powerful force for the blackhawks contributing a batting average of 0.500, 0.667 on base percentage, and a total of 13 RBI's
With this win, West Wilkes extended their winning streak to 7 games on the road, pushing their undefeated record to 13-0. On the other hand, Surry Central has struggled lately, losing 3 of their last 4 matchups, which dropped their record to 4-8 this season.
Both teams are eager for home field advantage in their upcoming games. West Wilkes will face East Surry at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
